Origin Type
The handmade carpets produced in Meymeh are a rarity, since only a few are still made today. They have a similar design to the handmade carpets from Joshagan. Meymeh is located 17 km west of Joshagan. Typical design is an arrangement of rombus-shaped gul-i henna, Mina Khana and sometimes weeping willows. The background colors of these special, handmade carpets are navy blue, red or white. They are woven with quality wool and are quite durable. Handmade carpets from Meymeh are much finer than those from Joshagan and have a shorter pole.
